Or you could just listen to the radio while playing LFS. Doesn't eat up bandwidth. You have a large selection of different channels which you can change from a remote. You even get the latest news.

Or is this just too old school for you tech geeks?

Would help with rallycross and other activities where going sideways is encouraged.

How is it different? Everyone will use the car with the most HP. So everyone will have the same power to weight ratio.
Why should the devs spend time making cars that noone will use?

If you want to up the power of the XFG use tweak.

Do you think anyone would drive the 110HP one?

Quote from Byku :All we need is bigger steering angle .

And more power. Yes, the favourite drift car, the XRT, is way underpowered compared to real drift cars. And the right setup. Obviously. And skill. Yes, it does need skill. I know because I'm not good at drifting and I don't have skills.

How is it that so many LFS drifters think that if they get a little more steering angle they turn into 1337 d0r1ft0rZ.

Still, even if I can't drift that well, I'm all for adding a more drift oriented car into LFS. Huge power with humongous turbo lag. Extreme steering angle. Ridiculously large spoilerage. And detachable bumpers as it seems to be the norm in drifting to leave your bumper in a hedge.

Quote from BWX232 :Who is the one resurrecting threads? Not me, at least not here. Look at the dates dude.

Nope. You are not resurrecting it but are sure as hell keeping it alive.

I was just quoting your post to demostrate that this thread had been resurrected before and that your comment was applicable to this resurrection too. Clearly you missed that, dude.

Maybe I should start adding detailed explanations about what I mean to my posts so that everyone, regardless of their intellectual level, will understand them.

A new track that goes up and down the side of a mountain would be fun.

The track could be used by drifters to "touge" and racers to race. I, for one, think that LFS tracks have too few elevation changes.

BTW Akina is a fictional name used in Initial D. The mountain is really called Haruna.

Bring back STCC!

Ofcourse I would watch it. Whether I'd watch it live or on demand would just be a question of how the STCC schedule clashes with mine.

All good things must come to an end. It was fun and I even had a few battles. During the season not the last race. Should have practised more for each race but work and other hobbies took their toll on my time. And I think my wheel is due for a complete teardown and rebuild. Or maybe I should get a new one. Well on to the race:

Quali: Way behind everyone in pace. Still got a new PB.

Sprint: Way behind everyone in pace. Got a new PB.

Feature: Way behind everyone in pace. Not as much as in the sprint, though. Shaved some time off my PB. Two cars can't fit through the downhill chicane side-by-side. Sorry about that, couldn't hold my too tight line. And then the tyres made it even worse.

All in all if there had been 20 races instead of 2 I might have been chasing the bumpers of the backmarkers.

Congratulations to Blauwhoff for winning the whole shebang. I was hoping it would go to Virtanen but...

Thanks to the organisers, drivers and broadcast people for making it possible.

Quali: NOT LAST!!!

Sprint: I surprised myself. 1 sec from Moore at the finish. And because many drivers DCd, quit or whatever I got from 17th to 12th. Old understeery set burned the fronts. Just no grip at the front for the last couple of laps.

Feature: Tweaked the set a bit and it got a bit better but still understeery. Only exitement was the accident with MacDonald. Lost the rear (yes, with an understeery set. I'm just so great) in the downhill part after T1 and recovered and tried too hard to keep MacDonald behind and lost it again. At which time he hit my rear and I spun completely. Propably more my fault than his but he gave me my position back. After he passed me I got a bit of a pull from him and was gaining on Moore but the tyres gave up. Passed the cheapskate who didn't want to buy enough petrol on the back straight of the final lap and finished 10th.

Too bad I'm going to miss the next race. I was really looking forward to SO.

Nice to bump into people that are almost as slow as me, Casse Especially ones who don't spec after a few fails. Next week I can't make it but if there's an event on week 20 I'll be there.

I'm bringing up the rear in the IMA TBO Challenge. Why don't you join too so we can have a few fights at the back.

BTW is there anywhere where you can get half decent pick up racing in LFS? Preferably with either the XRT or XRG.

Quote from CasseBent :shitty driving as always, but I managed to not be last, even after crashing twice. How was your first #liveforspeed race March Hare?

Happy to help.

Made way too many mistakes. Lack of an active LFS career is what hurts me. Always working while others are racing. And driving alone is just not the same.

Quali: as expected

Sprint: Caught up in an accident at the downhill chicane on the second lap and off. My fault? Someone elses? Who cares! It's touring car racing. Started cathing up to Moore towards the end but made too many little mistakes.

Feature: Again part of an accident. This time on the first lap in T2. Turned in, scraped paint, got a lag boost and hit someones front fender with my rear fender and off I went. 14 seconds behind... Great. Driving all alone and going off all alone untill Moore pits. Some closeish action a nudge and off I go again. Just what I needed. Well got him back when he went for his DT penalty.

Things learned from this weekend:
1. Need more practise to be more consistent. (not consistently slow or consistently making mistakes)
2. Agressive starts are not for me. I need to hang back and let the others make the mistakes.
3. Need more close racing experience. Don't think I've had any close racing since the CTRA went bust.

Other than that is was a nice weekend.

I already said it elsewhere, but you got it right.
Finnish is a language that is pronounced like it's spelled. So just throw [] around any word and that's close enough.

Neanikoski is propably how my name would be spelled if it was English.

Just watched the races. Good stuff. Especially the feature. Although my epic pass of S.Simoes was missing. I'll let you off this time.

You can pronounce my name

Quali: Typical. And this time I couldn't even get myself pumped up enough to go for a sub 2.03 lap.

Race 1: Starting from the back and biding my time. Took advantage of you guys messing up. Didn't make very many mistakes. And finished 12th.

Race 2: Never sweated so much in any race in LFS. Started in the middle of it all. Nice little paint swapping with some people on the first lap. I must learn to drive more offencively to gain/keep positions. After the first few laps it quieted down and I was left almost to myself. Then the FXO tyres turned red Passed a few and finished 13th.

Can't wait for the next event.
